Liverpool quintet RATS have dropped their new track, ‘Hard To Find’. It’s a bouncy cut propelled forward by a deep bass line and an infectiously energetic lead vocal. Their sound is playful and bright, with a blend of influences from across rock, ska and R&B resulting in comparisons to the likes of Gorillaz and The Streets. Guitarist Chris Carragher says the track was written “after getting a new plug in that had a little ‘wah’ sound. I came up with the melody that comes in towards the end of verse and I brought it into the lads. Joe came in with the ‘Hard To Find’ bit. And then we just went into Kempston Street Studios with Chris Taylor, built it all up.” RATS are releasing their debut album, Rule The World, on May 2nd, 2025, via All Sorted Records. -Dan Peeke
